Transfer students are welcome regardless of what Martial Art they have studied. The transfer student is evaluated by the instructor and assigned a belt level based on the level of the techniques they can demonstrate.
Transfer students are expected to observe all of the etiquette of their new school. In the event the transfer student is new to the Taeguek, instruction will be provided so the student can quickly become comfortable with his new surroundings.
Black belt students in Tae Kwon Do are asked to wear a
yellow stripe for the first month to indicate to the existing students that they are transfer black belts. This will avoid existing students asking them information that is school dependent.
(e.g.... a particular school rule).
Transfer black belts are allowed to teach only after approval by the head instructor.
